'Early Learning and Childcare' 

This is an exciting time for parents of young children with the Government's expansion of funded Early Learning and Childcare.  Your child can receive up to 1400 hours of funded 'Early Learning and Childcare' from the term follwing their 3rd birthday. Increased funded hours enhance the family work/life balance and provide greater opportunities for early learning, and better outcomes for children.

The Kinderhouse team is delighted with the new Scottish legislation enabling families to access increased hours, less cost to parents and greater flexibility and choice in terms of times and patterns of attendance.  

These changes can be confusing for parents. Our team will fully explain the extent of funded hours and options of patterns available. We can also advise on the Wrap-Around Care, Tax Free Childcare, Universal Credit System and Childcare Vouchers.

Early Learning and Childcare is Government funded for all 3 and 4 yearolds and eligable 2 yearolds from the term following their 3rd birthday (or 2nd birthday if eligable) for up to 22.5 hours per week during the full year.

Wrap around care outwith funded hours for working / studying parents is available for all 2, 3 and 4 yearolds.

Wrap around care is charged at an hourly rate of £7.00.

Session times are from 8am - 1pm and 1pm - 6pm.  

Flexi hours are also available to suit shift patterns.

Early starts are available from 7am at a rate of £10.00 for the early hour.

These sessions are all inclusive of breafast from 7-9am, morning snack around 10am, lunch at 12pm, afternoon snack around 2pm and evening light meal at 4pm. 

For chidlren accessing funded Early Learning and Childcare only, there is no seperate charge for snacks and meals.
